That’s a wrap for another exciting year at RE+! Our team is buzzing with fresh insights and strengthened partnerships from this year’s show. 2024 has been a year full of exciting developments and new integrations for Energy Toolbase, and we’re glad to have showcased our latest advancements at RE+! Now that the dust has settled, we’re reflecting on what we learned, what we shared, and how our solutions continue to shape the solar and energy storage space.
ETB Controller: A Rebrand with Powerful New Features
One of the highlights at RE+ was the reintroduction of our Acumen EMS product under its new name: ETB Controller. This rebranding reflects its expanded capabilities and aligns it more closely with our product suite. We received a lot of positive feedback from attendees interested in using ETB Controller and its many features, which include custom operating schedules, predictive analytics, and seamless integration with different energy storage hardware. Driven by Acumen AI’s sophisticated algorithms and forecasting capabilities, ETB Controller offers unmatched energy storage project economics for even the most complex of needs.
Our Partnership with Yotta Energy
Another key highlight of the event was discussing our partnership with Yotta Energy. As a leader in modular energy storage technology, Yotta’s integration with ETB Controller opens up new possibilities for commercial solar and storage installations. Our team showcased how this integration enables users to manage Yotta’s scalable battery systems through the ETB Developer platform, optimizing energy use while ensuring greater flexibility. This partnership strengthens both of our offerings, and the real-time control, monitoring, and analytics ETB Controller provides will be a game changer for distributed energy systems.
Scanifly Integration: Solar Design Meets Energy Management
We were excited to showcase our Scanifly integration at RE+. By integrating Scanifly’s 3D modeling technology in ETB Developer, users can streamline project design and align energy management strategies within the same workflow. This allows for precise data on panel positioning, shading, and performance to be incorporated into ETB Developer, optimizing energy production and storage. Attendees were eager to see how these precise models can be easily integrated directly into our platform, while enhancing workflows, reducing costly design revisions, and refining the installation process.
Operating Schedules and Grid Services
Operating schedules and grid services were hot topics at our booth. ETB Controller’s ability to create and execute customized operating schedules helps users optimize energy consumption based on time-of-use rates, demand response, and grid services. Whether the objective is peak shaving, time-of-use arbitrage, or demand response, the ability to schedule system operations down to the minute and track them in real time with ETB Monitor ensures our customers extract maximum value from their energy storage assets. Attendees highlighted how this control supports complex energy needs in the C&I sector.
We also saw growing interest in grid services, where energy storage owners are incentivized to stabilize the grid. ETB Controller automates participation, dispatching energy based on utility signals or economic thresholds. With new grid services set to roll out across more markets in 2024, storage users will have even more revenue opportunities while supporting the broader energy ecosystem.
RE+ showcased the incredible progress within the industry and the importance of staying ahead. With our rebranded ETB Controller, new partnerships, and innovative integrations, we’re excited to help users maximize their projects in any way possible. Thank you to everyone who visited our booth and shared valuable insights. Stay tuned for updates as we roll out new features, partnerships, and grid services offerings!
